How can we develop our ideas with storytelling?
This story comes from my group member — Sue
She told us…
I always felt lonely. A life focused on extending its branches,
the pursuit of growth, had always left me feeling isolated. As our branches grew
longer, we never seemed to reach anywhere. My own life, too, felt like a clichéd
pursuit in a competitive society. My life, once so eager to bear fruit, was now
clinging to fading youth, screaming its final cry.
On a typical day in this unfamiliar corner of the city where I had settled,
I was standing in the wind. The wind that dug into my being suddenly brought
a sense of melancholy. I wished someone would warmly embrace me. I curled up
and hid my face. For the first time in the long and arduous journey to get here,
I felt a sense of emptiness, facing leisure.
One day, beyond the first light of life, on just another day when we could
include new people in our lives, we talked about the vacation of life and
exchanged pieces that we could all share, facing each other's lives. In a room
where only our love remained in the darkness, we, who had become one with the
light, continued to illuminate everyone as we bore fruits that never withered.
At the end of our fading lives, we embraced the inevitability of life,
knowing that our links were meant to continue here, and we were wrapped in each
other's warmth as light. This was another universe and love, so I was captivated
by that warmth, finally able to gently cradle the life I had run so far. It was
another name for salvation.”
For the moment, I barely can say a word.
That's where the story begins... It is a "composite" tree. When the four of us get together, the tree becomes meaningful. We come from different cultures and countries, each with unique experiences that shape our identities. Every person is unique. When we are apart, we are individuals; but when we come together, there is a special bond, a bond of life, where we not only represent ourselves, but also create a more beautiful and magnificent life force.
